How far ahead can I book?

You can book your parking up to 12 months ahead of your travel date – and once you’ve booked you’re protected from any price changes. 

Can I book at short notice?

If you’re booking a space at one of our car parks, you need to do it at least 24 hours before you’re due to arrive at the car park.

What payment methods are accepted? accepts the following credit and debit cards:

  • Visa
  • MasterCard
  • PayPal

We don’t accept Solo or Electron cards or cheques. 

How do I know my payment details are secure?

This site uses industry-standard SSL encryption software. It protects all your personal information, including credit or debit card number, and your name and address. You’ll know you are in a secure area of the site when the address bar turns green with a padlock icon. 

How do I know that my order has been placed?

Once you’ve finished the booking process, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a booking reference.

You should print this out and bring it with you to the airport. If you don’t receive one, please email us at

What do I do if I lose my booking reference number?

Your booking reference can be found on the confirmation email. 

Is it cheaper to book online or over the phone?

Our prices for pre-booking are exactly the same for phone and internet bookings.

Why is the drive-up price sometimes less than the pre-book price?

Some car parks have a minimum stay policy which means there’s a minimum charge for parking. On some occasions, if your stay is a short one, it might be cheaper to drive up rather than pre-book.

Why do the terminals have different prices?

Our car parks prices are based on supply and demand, and usually the North Terminal has a higher demand. Therefore the prices increase quicker than at the South Terminal. For the best prices anywhere, we recommend booking as early as possible. 

Why is there an admin fee if I pre-book with a credit card?

Credit card companies charge us a fee for processing your payment, so the admin fee covers our costs.

What if I need to cancel or change my booking?

You can cancel or change a car park booking up to 24 hours before your time of arrival using the Manage my booking page 

What happens if I want to bring a different car than on my original booking?

You are able to change the registration of your vehicle up to 24 hours before your arrival time. Simply log in to your online account and go to Manage my booking. Then click ‘Amend booking’ next to the car registration box to change your details.

If you want to change this within 24 hours of your arrival time, you’ll need to speak with a representative at the customer service desk once you arrive. 


How do I change the number plate on my booking?

You can amend your number plate by visiting manage my booking and selecting ‘Change car registration’. Log in to see your booking 

What is cancellation protection?

95p cancellation protection gives you a full refund on bookings cancelled with over 24-hours’ notice. If you don’t have this, there’s a £10.00 cancellation charge.

My flight was cancelled – can I claim on my cancellation protection?

No – our cancellation protection does not cover you if you don’t use your parking because of a flight cancellation. In these situations, we advise you to contact your airline or travel insurer who might be able to assist you further.

What happens if my car breaks down on the day of travel – can I cancel my booking?

We cannot offer a full refund on bookings not used because of vehicle breakdown. However we recommend contacting customer services in this instance.

If a car park has a minimum stay, can I park there for a shorter period?

Yes – but if you stay for less than the minimum stay detailed, you’ll still be charged for the whole of the minimum stay period.

How do I pay at the car park?

We have pay-on-foot machines around the car parks which accept cash and card payments. You can also pay with credit or debit card at the exit barriers.

How are parking charges calculated at the Long Stay car park?

The number of 'days' (24-hour periods) you’re charged when you pre-book is calculated using the entry and exit times you select when making your booking.

You’ll be liable for an additional day/s charge at the exit barriers if your actual entry and exit time changed from that specified in your booking and, as a result, your actual time in the car park went over 24 hours.

All prices shown are in UK pounds and include VAT at the current rate of 20%.

Is there a discount for Blue Badge holders?

We do not offer discounts on pricing for Blue Badge holders, however we have Blue Badge bays within all of our car parks.

Can I take a mobility scooter on the transfer bus?

Mobility scooters can be taken on transfer buses and all our buses offer full disabled access.

Where can I find directions to the car park?

We have directions to all our car parks online.

It’s also in the email confirmation for your pre-booking.

How do I access the car park if I’ve pre-booked?

Our car parks have automatic number plate recognition (ANPR). You pull up to the entry barrier and wait a few seconds for the system to recognise your registration number. Your vehicle registration will be scanned, recognised and the barrier will come up.

If your registration is not recognised after 15 seconds, please press the button for a ticket and the barrier will then rise. This unfortunately means you have to get your pre-booking validated at our customer service office. You’ll find it at the car park exit.

Will there be a courtesy bus running early in the morning or late at night?

The Long Stay car park and Summer Special car parks operate a 24-hour transfer service between the terminal and car park.  

What is the bus frequency?

Our buses arrive approximately every 10 minutes. They can transfer you between the terminal and car parks 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

I’ve pre-booked – how do I exit the car park?

It varies for each car park.

In many cases, the car park will use number plate recognition so the barriers will recognise that you’ve pre-booked and allow you to enter and exit automatically.

If your car park doesn’t have number plate recognition, you’ll be asked to present your booking reference number and car park entry ticket at the customer service office (near the car park exit) before leaving. Our staff can then validate your ticket.

Don’t use the payment machines in the car park as they won’t recognise your booking and will charge you again at the drive-up price.

I pre-booked – why was I charged again on exit?

You’ll be asked to pay the ‘roll-up’ rate if you have a pre-booking but:

  • your registration number is not recognised on entry
  • your ticket is not validated by customer services before exit

To avoid this, just press the intercom button at the exit barrier to get one of our staff to validate your ticket.

Why can’t the valet transfer my car between the two terminals?

For operational reasons we can’t transfer the cars between the two terminals. We do have a free monorail service which can transfer you between the North and South Terminals though.

How secure is the car park?

Our CCTV covers the entry and exit barriers of our car parks. It also looks over customer service areas and payment machines.

We do have CCTV that covers long stay parking areas, but your vehicle can’t be permanently recorded by CCTV throughout the duration of your stay.

My car won’t start – are we able to get a jump start at the car park?

Our team have facilities to jump start your vehicle if needed. Just press the help buttons found around the car park for assistance.

Is there a storage area for motorcycle helmets?

We do not have any storage space for motorcycle accessories. However, there are luggage storage facilities located inside the terminal which you can use to store your accessories at an extra cost.

Are there any electronic charging points?

Yes, there are 8 charging points in our Short Stay car parks.

How much does electronic charging cost?

It’s free to charge your vehicle, and you can stay in the Short Stay car park up to 4 hours for free.

Where are the electronic charging points?

There are charging points in the North and South Terminal.

  • North Terminal – Car park 5, level 3
  • South Terminal – Car park 3, level 1

How do I use the electronic charging points?

It’s simple, just follow these 5 steps:

  1. Get a charging card by registering with our electric charge provider – Pod Point 
  2. Depending on your terminal, go to the Short Stay car park that has electronic charging points and take a parking ticket
  3. Plug in your vehicle at one of our free charging points
  4. Before leaving the car park, go to the customer services office with your parking ticket and charging card
  5. If you’ve been in the car park less than 4 hours, it’s free. Any time above that is charged at the normal hourly rate.

Where are the Blue Badge parking spaces?

There are Blue Badge parking spaces in the North and South Terminal, and in both the Long Stay and Short Stay car parks.

North Terminal

Long Stay car park

  • Over 25 spaces with easy access and minimal distance to a dedicated bus stop

Short Stay car park

  • 10 spaces in car park 6, level 4 – this is within the Premium Parking area which gives you same-level access to the terminal without lifts or stairs.
  • 28 spaces across the other Short Stay car parks


South Terminal

Long Stay car park

  • Over 25 spaces with easy access and minimal distance to a dedicated bus stop

Short Stay car park

  • 8 spaces in car park 3, level 2 – this is within the Premium Parking area which gives you same level access to the terminal lifts and stairs.
  • 55 spaces across the other Short Stay car parks

How much do the Premium Parking spaces cost for blue badge holders?

If you’re a Blue Badge holder using the Premium Parking area, you’ll pay the regular short stay car park rate if you park your car for less than 4 hours. It’s cheaper than the Premium Parking rate and gives you same-level access to the terminal. Just press the ‘Assistance’ button when you’re at the entry barriers. On your way out, press the intercom again to be let out of the Premium area and pay at the ticket booth to take advantage of the normal short stayrate.

I need my Blue Badge abroad – what do I do?

You can leave your car without the Blue Badge. All you need to do is advise the car park attendant when you’re entering the car park. Just press the ‘Assistance’ button on the entry barrier ticket machine.

Where do I park if my vehicle is too high?

We provide special parking areas for high-sided vehicles. 

If you're in a vehicle over 1.8m high, then you will need to park in our designated high sided vehicle parking areas, as you can’t park over height vehicles in the regular short stay car parks. Car park 6 in the North Terminal will, however, take vehicles up to 2.1m high. 

For parking at the South Terminal, please use the special parking area located after the entrances to the short stay car parks on the left hand side.

The North Terminal high-sided vehicle park is now closed as part of the North Terminal redevelopment project. Alternative parking is available at the North Terminal long stay car park. 

If you are picking up a group in a coach you will need to use our dedicated coach park.
